Typical Usage :
This cable is used to connect the Monitor port of your Atari Home Computer to the S-Video input of your modern TV. It has a mini-DIN 4-pin plug for S-Video and a 3.5mm phono jack for audio connection. See the photos for connection examples.
Function :
S-Video is the highest quality of video signal available from the Atari 8-bit computers. S-Video is a multichannel video signal composed two separate signals. The first signal is a luminance signal (Y or Luma) that carries the black and white picture information as well as horizontal and vertical sync. The second signal is a chrominance signal (C or Chroma) that carries the colour information for the picture.
